Cyclemalaga offer a selection of hassle-free short and long stay cycling holidays in the stunning Axarquia region of Spain located just 40 minutes drive east of Malaga airport. The area is known for its spectacular views, beautiful mountain white villages, clean, long, uncrowded beaches and of course the warm climate. The backdrop for the region is the imposing La Maroma (2069m), the highest peak of the Sierra de Tejeda mountain range.
Joining the picture postcard inland villages together is a network of quiet, well surfaced roads that make the area a cyclists paradise. The scenery changes from route to route and season to season. There are winding roads cutting through olive groves and hair pins climbs flanked by almond trees deep into the Andalucian countryside. It’easy to see why so many Pro Cycling Teams choose the area to escape the often over crowded roads of other cycling hot spots.
The temperature from September to May averages a pleasant 17 degrees. If you are here and do experience one of the rare days of rain (2 days p/month) we will supply you with mountain bikes free of charge so your cycling holiday is uninterrupted. So if you are training to improve your fitness, preparing for a particular event, or just looking to cycle with friends and discover the real Andalucia, this area is perfect for you! We offer a professional and personalised service and we will provide bike hire, accommodation and routes to allow you a stress free cycling experience.

We will shortly be launching our 2024 Andalucia Cycling Holidays. These will be fully supported, and include overnight stays in prestige accommodation throughout Andalucia.
As always our cycling holidays include a bi-lingual guide (English and Spanish spoken), support vehicle, luggage transfer from hotel to hotel. Everything you need to have a relaxed cycling experience in the stunning Andalucia province.
