The Village Loops are a great way to see the local area and can encompass many of the stunning inland white villages and also take in the fabulous coastal scenery and mountain backdrop. They are circular routes, so start points can be either on the coast or from an inland village.

Going from glorious sunshine to freezing temperatures in just a few kilometres riding into the thin air, one for the cyclists bucket list!
We will collect you from your holiday accommodation and drive to the village of Güejar Sierra, which is located at the base of the Sierra Nevada mountain range in the Granada Province of Andalucia. After breakfast in the village we will set off on the bikes and climb the famous hill of “El Duque” which was used in the Vuelta a España 2017. The El Duque climb zig zags on a narrow tree lined road for 7 kilometres climbing just over 550 metres.
If you are a cyclist and live in Spain you will have heard of the “La Ruta de la Cabra (The Goat Trail)”. Climbing up to 1360 metres above sea level from the coastal resort of Almuñécar, the road is know for its blind curves, sheer drops and hairpin switchbacks, words can’t describe the road and pictures don’t do it justice.
We will collect you from your holiday accommodation and drive to the village of Algarrobo. From here we will start the famous Ruta de la Cabra. Passing 40 kilometres along the coastline through the coastal towns of Torrox, Nerja, La Herradurra and arriving at Almuñécar.
From Almuñécar. the climbing begins, all 40 kilometres of it! You will be going from sea level up 1360 metres on the Andalucian mountain road once used by traders moving their goods by mule to and fro the inland city of Granada and the coastal town of Almuñécar
Las Alpujarras is a 70km stretch of valleys and gorges on the southern flank of the Sierra Nevada mountain range, Granada. Framed by snow capped mountains, there are lots of challenging climbs, jaw dropping descents surrounded by some of the most stunning mountain scenery that Spain has to offer. The roads are in great condition and extremely quite. A camera is essential!!!
We will collect you from your holiday accommodation and drive to the village of Velez de Benaudalla (70 Metres), which is located at the base of the Sierra Nevada mountain range in the Granada Province of Andalucia. After breakfast in the village we will set off on the bikes and gently climb towards the town of Orgiva (450 Metres) . A traditional mountain town known for its bohemian atmosphere! A magnet for for those seeking an alternative lifestyle!
